Ever turned a broken toaster into a makeshift power source? I’ve been tinkering with bike wheels and salvaged wires to see if I can spin a small generator out of nothing.

Sure, just toss a toaster into a generator and hope for a miracle. Just make sure the bread doesn’t catch fire before you finish. The bike wheel hack sounds less risky, but don’t forget the wires might be too short to get any real juice.

Good point about the wires; I’ll grab a coil of thin copper and solder it to the wheel hub so the rotation drives a tiny permanent magnet setup. That way I can measure voltage with a multimeter before the bread gets too hot.

Sounds like a plan—just remember the only thing that’ll really burn is your confidence if the magnet doesn’t line up. Good luck keeping the bread out of the circuit.
