Curse & Staratel
I’ve been looking at ways to make the creative process more efficient, and I’m curious—how do you keep the chaos of your art from getting out of hand?
I let the mess be my muse, then I tidy it up with a quick sketch, a timer, and a single rule—anything that doesn’t spark a new idea goes straight into the trash. Keep the chaos flowing, but only let it touch the things that matter.
Sounds efficient, but keep a log of what you throw out—you never know when a discarded scrap might become a critical detail later. Just make sure the “trash” stays in the trash, not in the backlog.
I’ve got a quick notepad for scraps—just a couple of words and a date, no fluff. That way I can dig them out if something clicks later, but I never let the pile grow. Keep the trash clean, the creative spark alive.
Nice system—quick and clean. Just make sure the note hits the right level of detail so you can actually use it later, not just a vague “idea” on a sticky note. Keep that balance and you’ll stay on track.
Got it, I’ll jot a date, a keyword, and a quick reason it didn’t work—just enough to remember why it got tossed, not a full essay. That way it stays clean, but still useful if I see a fit later.
