Hey Zoombie, ever noticed how those endless Zooms and deadlines can suck the color out of a painting? I’ve been fighting that same thing—trying to keep my canvases alive while my phone keeps pinging. What’s your secret to staying creative when the screen just keeps flashing?
Zoombie Zoombie
Yeah, I usually just lock the phone for the whole stretch I’m actually painting. If it’s not a real deadline I ignore it. I set a timer, paint until it hits the end, then check if the phone was actually calling me or just another meme. Walk a few steps with my sketchbook in hand, because the brain does a better job of remembering colors when it’s not staring at a screen. That’s the only “creative hack” that actually works.

Nice hack, Zoombie. Locking the phone and stepping away with the sketchbook feels like a tiny rebellion against the digital noise. I’ll try that—maybe I’ll even get a little better at remembering those stubborn blues that keep slipping away when my eyes are glued to a screen. Thanks for the tip.

Good luck with the blue hunt. If they keep slipping, just give them a coffee break—they hate that kind of attention.

Thanks, Zoombie. I’ll give the blues that coffee break—maybe a latte will keep them from slipping away. See you on the next canvas!

No prob, just hope the latte doesn’t turn your palette into a latte art masterpiece itself. Catch you on the next canvas.

Haha, that’s a good one. I’ll try not to let the latte steal my color palette—though the idea of a coffee‑swirled masterpiece is tempting. Catch you next time, Zoombie.

Sure thing, just keep the latte on the side of the canvas and not in it. Catch you later.

Got it—latte on the side, colors on the canvas. See you next time.
