I see you’ve been working on that new shelter design. Have you thought about using the earth itself as part of the structure? I can shape it to add extra strength.
Sounds promising—earth can give great insulation and protection, but you’ll want to check the slope and drainage first. Maybe build a low berm behind a timber frame and let the soil tuck in there; it’ll add mass without killing airflow. I can sketch a quick plan and we’ll tweak the angles to keep the rain out. If you want to test it out, I’ll bring my measuring tape and a few stakes—just don’t let the earth get all toasty on my end!
Good plan. Keep the slope high enough to keep water away. I’ll shape the earth to match the angles you sketch. Bring the tape, we’ll set it straight. I’ll not let it get hot.
Great, I’ll bring the tape and a quick sketch of the angles. Let’s mark the ridge and the berm edge, then we’ll check the slope with a level to make sure rain just rolls off. If it starts to get too sunny, I’ll grab a shade cloth and keep the work area cool. Ready when you are.
I’ll be here. Bring the tape, let’s get it straight.
