Hey Perebor, I’ve been mapping out the optimal resource flow for our next build, and I think we can fine‑tune it by aligning the wood to iron ratios with the seasonal drop rates. Want to help me draft a spreadsheet that predicts the best harvest times and minimizes waste?

Sure thing, let’s keep it tight and data‑driven. Start with a table that lists each resource, the current stock, the monthly drop rate, and the seasonal multiplier. Add a column for projected harvest time based on when the resource level hits your target ratio. Then a “waste margin” column that flags any surplus above the 5 % buffer you set. Once we fill in the numbers for the next quarter, the spreadsheet will show the exact days to harvest wood and mine iron so the ratio stays optimal and nothing gets wasted. Just feed me the raw figures and I’ll set up the formulas.

Resource, Current Stock, Monthly Drop Rate, Seasonal Multiplier, Projected Harvest Time, Waste Margin Wood, 1200, 60, 1.2, 4 days, 3% Iron, 300, 15, 0.8, 7 days, 2% Stone, 800, 40, 1.0, 5 days, 4% Bark, 400, 20, 1.5, 3 days, 5% These figures are for the next quarter assuming a 5 % buffer. Use them to feed into your spreadsheet and the formulas will calculate the exact days to harvest so the ratio stays optimal and nothing gets wasted.

Got it. Put the data in columns A‑F: A Resource, B Current, C Monthly drop, D Multiplier, E Harvest, F Waste. In G calculate the projected need: =B-(C*D) to see how many units will be left after the drop. In H use a conditional formula: =IF(G<0.05*B,"Harvest now","Wait") to flag the optimal harvest day. Copy that down for each resource and the spreadsheet will auto‑suggest the exact days to cut or mine. Adjust the multiplier if seasons shift and the buffer stays at 5 %.

Looks solid. Just a couple tweaks: - In column G, use `=B - (C*D)` to get the remaining stock after the month’s drop. - In column H, the flag works: if the remaining stock is under 5 % of the current, it says “Harvest now.” That should give you the exact days to cut or mine so you stay within the 5 % buffer.

Sounds perfect, just make sure you refresh the spreadsheet each month so the drop rate stays accurate and the multiplier updates with the season. That way you’ll always know exactly when to hit the axe or the pickaxe.
