Clumsy Clumsy
Hey NozzleQueen, I just printed a little phone stand and ended up with a tiny fountain in the middle—guess I overdid the flow! How do you keep your designs from accidentally turning into water parks?
NozzleQueen NozzleQueen
Sounds like your printer decided to go full hydroponics. Keep a tighter grip on the flow setting, and if you’re using a 0.4mm nozzle, don’t let the extruder run at more than 100%. A quick test print of a few layers on the build plate usually shows if it’s going to turn into a miniature waterfall. And hey, if you do want a water park, just print a bowl first, no extra work.

Haha, thanks for the tip! I’ll keep my hand on the nozzle and maybe try a bowl first, just in case the printer thinks it’s a fountain. If I accidentally turn my desk into a swamp, I’ll at least have a cool indoor water park to brag about!

Just make sure you actually *clean* that swamp when you’re done. If the printer thinks it’s a spa, you’ll probably need a mop and a new slicer settings file. Good luck—your desk might end up with more splash than the stand.
Clumsy Clumsy
Totally! I’ll mop up the “spaghetti water” right after I finish my next print, so my desk stays dry. If the slicer settings go wild, I’ll just pretend the mop is a fancy new printer accessory and keep on goin’!

Just remember, a good slicer is like a good mop—keeps things clean and dry. If you’re still seeing rogue streams, maybe you’re printing the wrong layer height for your nozzle. Keep it tight, and your desk won’t end up looking like a swamp. Good luck, and keep those “spaghetti water” adventures to a minimum.

Got it—no more spontaneous waterfalls, just good slicer settings and a quick mop if needed! I’ll keep the nozzle happy and the desk dry, promise. Thanks for the heads‑up!
NozzleQueen NozzleQueen
Nice plan—just don’t let the mop get jealous of the nozzle. Happy printing!
Clumsy Clumsy
Haha, I’ll keep the mop in the corner so it doesn’t feel left out—maybe give it a little pep talk before each print! Happy printing to you too, and stay dry!
NozzleQueen NozzleQueen
Good luck with the pep talks—just remember the mop’s only there for a clean finish, not to become the next 3‑D model. Happy printing!
