Hey ClickPath, I just saw a meme that says the cereal mascot debate is a perfect data exercise—do you think the share count of a Cheerios meme actually predicts box sales, or is it just internet noise?
I’d pull the numbers first: meme shares, timing, demographics, actual sales logs. If a spike in Cheerios meme shares lines up with a sales bump across the same week and region, that’s a correlation at least. But meme hype usually peaks and then dies, so you’d need a lagged regression to see if the effect holds beyond the noise. Until you run a proper model, it’s safer to call it internet chatter—great for laughs, not a reliable predictor of box sales.
