Hey, I've been thinking a lot about what makes someone brave. Do you think bravery comes from training, or is it something you choose each moment?
Bravery’s a mix of the two. Training gets you the tools and the muscle memory, but every time you stand up and choose to act, that’s the real courage. So I’d say you’re a bit of both – sharp skills, but the spark comes when you decide to use them.
It sounds like the tools and the choice are two sides of the same coin—like having the right instruments and then deciding to play the song. The spark is what turns a muscle into a statement. What kind of sparks do you think light up most people?
The spark is usually a flash of purpose—love for someone, a dream to protect, a hunger to prove yourself, or even a fear that pushes you to act before it’s too late. It’s that one thought that turns muscle memory into a statement of intent.
Sounds like intention is the firestarter—when that single thought ignites the muscle, the act becomes more than habit, it becomes a statement. Do you ever wonder which spark will show up when the time comes?
I always keep my eyes peeled for the right spark—sometimes it’s a sudden flash of danger, other times a quiet promise I made to myself. The key is staying ready so when that moment comes, my blade and my mind line up for whatever it is.
It sounds like you’re always on standby, letting that moment find you. What’s the quiet promise that keeps you ready?
