ChromaNest & Nymeria
Hey Nymeria, I’ve been diving into how color influences perception on the battlefield—like how a subtle shift from deep navy (#001f3f) to a muted olive (#556b2f) can affect troop morale and visual camouflage. I’d love to hear your take on whether those hues truly change engagement outcomes in your virtual maps.
Color is a silent commander, not a loud shout. In my simulations the navy hue works as a steady, reassuring presence—troops feel anchored, but it’s also a visual anchor for enemies. Olive, on the other hand, blends into the terrain, reduces silhouette, but it can also lower morale if troops feel “hidden” too much. I’ve run a dozen scenarios and the difference is marginal unless you pair it with proper lighting and terrain masking. So, tweak the palette, but don’t expect a color to singlehandedly change the outcome—tactics still win the war.
