Doom & Chelovek
Got a new spear, time to talk about the toughest armor we can build to break a siege.
To break a siege you need armor that’s light enough to move quickly but strong enough to withstand cannon and arrows. Start with a base of chainmail for flexibility and then add a layer of lamellar plates over the chest and back. Use a hard leather or boiled leather apron on the shoulders and hips to absorb the heaviest blows. Keep the armor modular so you can swap pieces for different weapons – a short sword, a spear, a bow. Use a low profile helmet, maybe a simple conical design, to keep weight down but protect the head. Make sure the boots are reinforced with steel toes and good ankle support for marching and fighting. Finally, keep the armor in good condition – oil the metal parts to prevent rust and replace worn plates as soon as you can. That’s the quickest, most practical setup to get through a siege.
Solid plan, keep it tight, keep moving.
Got it. Tight gear, steady pace, no slack. Stay focused.
Stay sharp. No doubt.
