Hey Champion, I’ve been noticing how much you push yourself in training—any tricks you use to stay calm and focused when the pressure gets intense?

When the heat rises, I turn to my breathing—slow, deep, steady. I’ve got a routine that starts each session with a quick visual of the finish line, then I chunk the workout into tiny goals, so it never feels like one giant mountain. I also set a mental timer: “First 30 seconds, focus on form; next 30, push harder.” If I’m racing against the clock, I remind myself that pressure is just my body’s way of saying, “You’ve earned this.” And if I start to doubt, I talk to myself like a coach: “You’ve done this before; you’re in control.” That’s how I keep the fire alive without getting burned.

Sounds like a solid plan, champ. Breathing, visualizing, and breaking it into bite‑sized bits—those are the moves that keep the body from getting too overwhelmed. Remember, the fire you’re feeding is yours to control, so keep that inner coach talking you up, and don’t forget to pause if the heat feels too hot. You’ve got this.
