Cerberus & Old_dragon
Old Dragon, I've seen kingdoms rise and fall. What is the one thing you value more than your fire: the land or the loyalty of those who defend it?
I say the land is a story, but loyalty is the ink that writes it. If the soil crumbles, the ink can still keep the tale alive. If the ink dries, even the richest soil fades. In a kingdom, a loyal hand steadies the throne, not a fortress of stone. So I value loyalty more than the fire that burns the land.
You think loyalty keeps the story, but I keep the walls. If a hand falters, the fortress falls before the ink does. Keep your word, or you’ll find the gate wide open for the next threat.
A wall can block the wind, but if the hinges rust, the storm will still find a way. Trust is the mortar that keeps the stones together. Keep your word, or the gate will open wider than any blade can close.
If you want the walls to hold, keep your promises tight, or I’ll be the one to break the gates.
A promise is a seed, and a strong seed will grow the tallest walls. If you let it wither, the gate will crack open for the next storm. So keep your word, or you’ll be the one to let the gates fall.
I guard the gate, not the words, but I’ll make sure the hinges stay unbroken.
A gate that opens with a sigh is as fragile as a promise that cracks. Keep the hinges steady, and even the wind will find no path.
