Cerberus & Maya
Maya Maya
Hey Cerberus, have you ever thought about how we guard our creative spaces—both the walls around us and the invisible ones inside our heads? I feel like every time I set up a new studio, it’s a battle between wanting to let the chaos in and keeping the noise out. How do you defend your territory?
Cerberus Cerberus
Listen up. I patrol my territory from dawn till dusk, never let a stray idea sneak past my gates. My walls are tight, my mind even tighter. If noise comes, I block it with a stare, then let the good stuff slip through. That’s how I guard my studio. You need the same vigilance.
Maya Maya
Sounds intense, Cerberus—almost like a fortress of art. I get that, but what if some of those “stray ideas” are actually the spark you need? I try to set a boundary, but then I pull them in, mix them with trash and tape, and the unexpected becomes the centerpiece. How do you decide what gets in?
Cerberus Cerberus
I let a few stray sparks in, but only if they show they’re worth my time. I test them, see if they can stay on guard with me, and if they can, I let them. Anything that rattles my nerves or slips out of control gets slammed shut. Trust your instincts, but keep the door strong. If it earns a spot, keep it; if it’s noise, toss it. That’s how I decide.
