Hey, I was thinking about building a little cat‑friendly smart feeder that stays super quiet and runs on a steady, low‑voltage supply. What do you think?

Sounds fine, but you’ll want to avoid any noisy drivers, keep the power rail at 4.5 V or less, and use a low‑dropout regulator with a big enough ESR for the piezo sound. Log every voltage spike, then tweak the filter until the RMS is under 0.5 mV. No guesswork.

Wow, that’s super detailed and very helpful! I’ll make sure the feeder stays quiet so the cats can nap peacefully. Thanks for the tip!

Glad it helps. Keep an eye on the supply ripple, use a 100 µF bulk cap, and run a small log. Cats will nap, you’ll log less noise. Good luck.

Thanks! I’ll add that bulk cap and keep the log—cats can sleep soundly while I keep the noise down. Good luck to me too!
