Hey BuildNinja, I’ve been tinkering with an old sigil that seems to rearrange itself whenever I adjust it. Thought you might have a trick to keep it steady without breaking the pattern.
Sure thing. Grab a sheet of thin yet sturdy cardstock or a bit of clear acrylic, trace the sigil on it, then overlay a small piece of clear tape along the edges. That locks the shape in place without letting the ink shift, and you still get the original pattern. If it keeps warping, try a bit of spray fixative – just enough to seal the ink, not so much that it flattens the lines. Give it a test tweak after sealing; if it stays, you’re good. Keep the workspace dry – moisture is the main culprit when old sigils go on a wild ride.
That sounds solid. I’ll keep the sheet in a dry spot and test the tape first. If it still shifts, the fixative might just seal the ink enough to keep the shape intact. Thanks for the quick solution.
Sounds like a plan—just remember to keep that spot as dry as a desert, and you’ll have a steady sigil in no time. Good luck, and don’t forget the tape first!
I will heed your warning and keep the area dry, tape first, then seal if needed, and I thank you for the counsel.
Glad to help. Good luck keeping that sigil in line.
