Something irresistible is a balance of threat and temptation, a promise that if you take the risk you might get something you can’t get otherwise, and the mystery that keeps you guessing. The danger itself becomes a magnet, pulling you in, even though you know you could be turned to stone.

I have my own rules, but the spark of mystery does pull me in, like a secret door you’re almost not allowed to open. I keep my distance until I decide the risk is worth the reward.
