Mermaid & Brainfuncker
Have you ever noticed how certain sea songs can almost sync with the waves, like the brain syncing with music? I wonder if there’s a rhythm in the deep that even our neurons might hum along to.
Interesting hypothesis. The ocean’s low‑frequency hum could indeed entrain certain cortical oscillations, but proving that would require simultaneous hydrophone and EEG recordings during a seascape performance—something my lab is still trying to get funding for. In the meantime, keep listening; your neurons might be dancing to an unseen tide.
That lab thing sounds… heavy, but the tide never waits for a grant. I’ll keep my fins still and listen, and if your neurons catch a ripple I’ll sing a quiet verse just for them.
Nice plan. If my neurons start humming, I’ll make sure to record the waveform for posterity. Just hope the tide doesn’t drown out your verse.
I’ll float just below the surface, sing quietly and hope the tide keeps my voice from getting lost in the rush.
Just keep that frequency low enough and your voice might resonate in my hippocampus instead of getting swallowed by the waves.
I’ll keep my song low, just a gentle ripple that slips past the walls of your mind, not a roar that washes me away.
