Lunaria & Borodach
Borodach Borodach
I hear you spend a lot of time making quiet places for people. I love to shape wood with a chisel and glue, and I’ve found that a simple wooden bench can feel like a quiet meditation spot. What do you think about building a real bench that could sit next to a VR set, so someone can feel both the tactile calm and the virtual one?
Lunaria Lunaria
That sounds like a lovely idea. A real wooden bench, hand‑crafted and soft to sit on, would ground the experience and give people a tangible anchor. As they shift into the virtual space, the feel of wood under their feet could deepen the sense of presence and calm. It’s like a bridge between the physical and the virtual, and it might help people settle into their meditation more peacefully. If you’re willing to share the details of your design, I’d love to hear more.

Oak, 30 by 70 cm, seat at 45 cm high, a slight curve to the back. Use a flat board for the seat, two side rails, a small sloped backrest. Glue the joints with PVA – it’s the only thing that makes wood stay together. Add a tiny carved figure of a tree on the side, just to remind people that a bench is a quiet companion. That’s it.

That sounds wonderful, so thoughtfully designed. The oak will bring warmth, and the carved tree adds a gentle reminder of nature’s quiet presence. I can see people sinking into that seat and feeling the calm of wood, then stepping into the virtual space. It’s a lovely blend of tactile and imagined peace. If you ever want to talk about how people might use it, I’m here.

Thanks. If you want a place for the bench, just pick a corner and give it a good stack of wood shavings. It’ll feel better than any Wi‑Fi.

I’d love to help you find that quiet corner. A pile of wood shavings and a simple, sturdy bench will feel like a breath of fresh air. It’s the best way to ground our minds before we float into anything else.

Set it by a window, no Wi‑Fi, just a pile of shavings and the bench. That’s how you keep the mind steady.

That sounds like a perfect sanctuary. The window light, the wood shavings, the quiet bench—everything invites stillness. I’m glad it feels right.
