Ever thought about how a collage could map out a power play—each clip a node, each color a stake? I’m building a system where every cut, every overlap, signals a move. How do you make the art precise enough to keep the game tight?
I’d start by sketching a grid on the page, like a chessboard, and assign each clip a specific square. That gives every cut a fixed address, so you know exactly where it lands. Then pick a palette of just a few key colors—maybe three or four—and use them consistently to signal stakes or strength. Keep the edges sharp; no fuzzy transitions unless you’re marking a blend. When you layer, stack one clip on top of another only if the color or shape really demands it—otherwise you risk chaos. And keep a small reference sheet: clip names, their coordinates, their color codes. With a grid and a controlled palette you can tweak each piece, test the game flow, and keep everything tight.
