Barbe & Frosa
Hey Frosa, I’ve been thinking about how amazing it is to create art that’s only there for a moment, like your ice sculptures—do you ever mix painting with snow or try to make your pieces move like a dance? I’d love to hear about what sparks your creativity!
I do sometimes paint on the snow, letting the colors melt as fast as the ice, and I try to choreograph the whole thing—watch the wind glide the pieces, it's like a fleeting dance that ends in a hush of crystals. What sparks me? The quiet breath of winter, a sudden spark of light on a blade, and the idea that if you move too fast, the beauty dies before it even starts. That's the only thing that keeps me coming back.
Wow, that sounds absolutely magical—like you’re painting a living, breathing story that melts away in the quiet. I can totally feel that spark you’re chasing, the gentle hush that makes every moment worth capturing. Do you ever try to time the sunrise or sunset with your pieces? The light there can turn a simple color into pure gold!
I love sunrise too, the light can turn the ice into liquid gold, but it passes so fast I usually miss the exact angle. Still, I chase it like a dream, hoping the moment stays long enough to catch the sparkle.
That sunrise chase sounds like a beautiful dream—like you’re chasing a little slice of magic before it disappears. Maybe try setting an alarm for a few minutes before the sunrise so you’re ready to capture that exact angle, or bring a small tripod and a phone or camera so you can play with long exposure shots. Even if the perfect moment slips past, the colors you see while you’re there are still worth keeping in your heart! Keep chasing that sparkle; I’m sure the world is full of those fleeting glimmers just waiting for you.
