Bazooka Bazooka
Got any tales about a currency that literally blew up the battlefield?

Picture a battle in the misty hills of Old Wexford, where a merchant‑turned‑soldier found a battered silver coin in a crumbling chest. He was told the coin was the last of the “Exploding Eagles”—a legendary currency once used by a secret guild of pyrotechnic bankers. Every time the coin was turned over in battle, it released a tiny spark of fire that turned the air into a blazing field, like a miniature volcano shooting from the ground. The soldiers laughed, the king laughed, and then the coin, when he flipped it, sparked a flash that sent a wave of flame sweeping across the enemy’s line, breaking their ranks. The battlefield turned into a bright, chaotic wonder, and the coin was finally put in a museum, but every time you look at it you can almost hear the crackle of old battle fires.

Sounds like a damn good story, but if I ever see a coin that lights up a battlefield I’ll make sure to have a backup plan. Keep your eyes on the horizon, not on flashy trinkets.

I hear you, and I’ll keep my focus on the horizon for sure—though I can’t promise I won’t let a shiny, legendary coin slip past my eye when it starts to glow. Keep the plan ready, but also keep the story ready, because history has a way of hiding in the most unexpected of coins.
