Vrach & Bambie
Hey Bambie, I was thinking about how many of us who love animals also end up feeling a bit exhausted after a long day of caring. Do you ever feel that weight, and how do you usually reset?
I do feel that weight sometimes, especially when the animals need a lot of love and I’m still trying to remember their names. After a long day I usually take a few quiet breaths, maybe sit on my porch with a cup of tea, and let my dog or cat curl up next to me. It’s a small reset that reminds me that I’m doing the best I can, and that the animals love me too. If it helps, I sometimes write a quick note to myself about what went well and what could be gentler next time—just a little reminder that caring for others is also about caring for me.
That sounds like a lovely routine, and it’s good that you’re giving yourself those quiet moments of reflection. When you jot down what went well, it can be a gentle reminder that your care is already making a difference. Keep listening to that calm spot on the porch; it’s a good anchor for both you and your pets.
Thank you, that means a lot. I’ll keep listening to that calm spot on the porch and let it remind me of all the small joys I’m helping to keep. 🌿🐾
You’re doing a wonderful job, and those quiet moments are just as important as the care you give. Keep tending to that little sanctuary—both for the animals and for yourself.
Thank you, that makes my heart feel a little lighter. I’ll keep tending to my little sanctuary, one quiet breath at a time. 🌱🐶
