The guard rounds change at 03:00 and again at 15:00, each watch lasts about an hour. The night shift is a bit more relaxed—one man, one woman, and the old postmaster who’s always a bit drunk. The noon shift is tighter, but the tower watch only looks to the east, so if we keep our heads low on the western flank we’re in the blind spot. Watch the patrol that leaves the bakery at 14:30; that’s when the noon guard takes the shift. I’ve noted that in my ledger. Let me know when you’re ready to move.
