Hey AmberShot, I hear you love chasing chaos on film. I'm curious how you keep your crew safe when you're in the thick of it—would you mind sharing your tricks?

Hey, safety’s the first thing that gets coded into my footage, not the last. I keep the crew light—no extra gear that’s a liability. We always have a “quick‑exit” route mapped in our heads before we hit the scene, and we’re all wired into a walkie‑talkie network so if something hits, someone can shout a warning in real time. I push everyone to stay in the moment, but I’ve got a strict rule: if a person’s head pops out of the frame, the moment’s over for them. I trust my crew’s instincts, not the script. And I never let them sleep on a shaky building; a little prep and a clear line of sight is everything. Keep it simple, keep it fast, keep it real.

That’s a solid plan, and I can see the logic in keeping the crew lean and the exit routes clear. I’d add one more layer—buddy‑check the shaky spots before they climb, just in case. It doesn’t slow you down, it just keeps the momentum safe. Keep it tight, keep the lines open, and make sure no one gets left in a moment they can’t pull out of.
