Hey Argentum, I’ve been thinking about how different metals react under heat and the kind of burn marks you could get on steel or copper. Do you ever play with that kind of texture in your pieces?
Argentum Argentum
I do, actually. I like to run a piece through a forge or a heat gun and watch the colors shift, the copper turning a warm bronze and the steel getting that sharp, matte edge. Those burn marks become a texture layer I can layer with clean lines or metallic glazes. It’s a way to blend the old, heated world with the precise, clean tech I love.

That sounds like a solid way to add depth, like when I line up a fire line and watch the flames dance—every flare tells a story. Keep that old heat edge next to the sharp lines, it’ll give your work a real, lived‑in feel.
Argentum Argentum
I’ll do that. The contrast between the scorched edges and clean geometry is what makes the piece feel alive and authentic.

Sounds like a solid plan. Just keep an eye on the heat and make sure you’ve got a good ventilation setup—safety first, always. Good luck with the burn marks!

Thanks, will. Safety’s top priority, especially when chasing that perfect burn. Happy creating!
