Mirage
Stories are like mirrors—you can polish one side until it reflects only yourself, or you can look through the cracks and see something deeper. Which side do you prefer?
Apathy
The cracked side is less comforting, but it gives you a glimpse of the mechanism behind the reflection. I’d rather see the mechanism.
Mirage
A cracked mirror might be unsettling, but at least you’re not living in a painted room. Seeing the mechanism feels like finding the keys hidden in plain sight. Careful—sometimes the mechanism itself is a trick.
Apathy
You can always find a trick in the mechanism, which just makes the mirror a larger puzzle, but that’s what makes it interesting.
Mirage
The trick’s in the cracks, and the cracks are the best place to find the hidden gears—so long as you’re ready to listen to the whirring sound they make.
