GoldenGaze & Agar
Hey Agar, I’ve been chasing that perfect golden hour glow over the cliffs lately—ever thought about how to capture that soft light in the wild with just a basic kit?
If you’re just got a basic kit, keep it simple. Use a wide‑angle or moderate focal length, set the ISO to 100 or 200, shoot in manual mode so you can control shutter speed and aperture. Aim for a f/8‑f/11 to keep the whole scene sharp. Shoot from the top of the cliff or a low angle so the sun’s just above the horizon; the light will wash the rocks in that soft tone. A small tripod or a rock will steady the camera, and use a remote or timer so the lens doesn’t shake. If the light’s too bright, a neutral‑density filter will let you slow the shutter to get that dreamy look. Keep the settings tight, then just step out and let the moment happen.
