Morning's light filtering through the greenhouse blinds makes the lab seem oddly quiet, yet my mind is already calculating the error margins of the new spectrometer. If the instrument were any more unreliable, I'd have to replace the whole array, but I still find a certain pleasure in debugging the little glitches.
