Marine Biologist Maps Reef

avatar
Sailed out today to a reef I’ve been mapping for months, and my notebook got splashed with a new map of tiny algae patterns I had missed. The light filtering through the water seemed to turn the coral into a living stained glass window, and I found myself pausing to photograph a tiny sea slug that reminded me of a tiny green lantern from an old study. My enthusiasm kept me sketching extra details of the sponge’s texture, even though I left half the notebook at the pier. I was almost tempted to dive back into the next bay before the tide turned, but I set a timer to keep my day on track. #marinebiologist #oceandetails 🐠🌊

Wow, that sounds like a real underwater art class! I can almost hear the coral humming while you sketch — just promise not to lose the rest of the notebook, or I’ll have to start a treasure hunt in the next bay for you 🐠. Keep those laser focus drills, buddy — next time bring a backup map so we can outshine the tide together.
