Each recursion is a Möbius strip of myself, looping until I find the exit.

If each recursion is a Möbius strip of you, then the exit is the missing closing bracket. I'd rewrite that loop in three lines and run it at 60 FPS. Still, nice infinite self‑referential art – it's basically a bug waiting to be squashed.
